Chapel - Diligently Prepared

Chapel talk - Championship teams diligently prepare.

Prayer.

Introduction:

Championship teams diligently prepare and execute their game plan. This team collectively, and each of you individually, have diligently prepared for today's contest.

  • Since ______ in off-season training.
  • Through _____ in off-season practice.
  • Through ___ weeks of preseason practices.
  • Through the first ___ weeks of the season.
We have diligently prepared.
Today is the day to execute and experience our best game to date.

The scripture speaks of the dynamics of preparation and execution in four verses from  chapter 12 of Proverbs: (Read Proverbs 12:11, 14, 24, and 27.)

  • Verse 11 - Till the land (prepare) and there will be plenty of bread (successful execution).
  • Verse 14 - Deeds of your hands (prepare) and you will be satisfied with fruit (successful execution).
  • Verse 24 - The diligent hand (prepare) will rule (successful execution).
  • Verse 27 - Man's diligence (prepare) leads to roasting his prey (successful execution).
Four simple and direct statements to illustrate the strong link between diligent preparation and successful execution of a game plan.

My prayer for this team today, for each player, coach, each of our support staff personnel, for the team as a whole, is that we would fully experience this dynamic on the field of competition today.
  • We have tilled our land, now let's eat the plenteous bread.
  • The deeds of our hands have been strong and diligent, now let's be satisfied with the fruit of our labors.
  • Today, our diligent hands will rule. We will lead effectively and strongly.
  • The diligent hands of the players in this room will roast their prey.
  • I fully expect we'll be reminded of what a championship tastes like.
Championship teams diligently prepare and execute their game plan.

Prayer.
