Introduction: Aspirational = relating to or characterized by aspiration or a strong desire for something. To eagerly anticipate the achievement of something.
- Toward what are you aspirational in sport?
- Toward what do you aspire beyond sport?
- What achievements do you eagerly anticipate?
- Men aspire to do great things.
Prayer.
Paul's letter to his friends in Rome contains some aspirational thought. (Read Romans 8:24-25 aloud.)
- The apostle wrote to his friends about their aspirations to be more than they presently were.
- They had hopes, eager anticipation of what God would accomplish in them, and they were waiting patiently for its accomplishment.
- To win today (always the goal, but never the purpose).
- To win championships (every season).
- To see each player and team maximize their abilities.
- To support the coaches and support staff.
I have aspirations as a person:
- As as man (woman) and husband (wife).
- As a father (mother) and grandfather (grandmother).
- For my career.
- For my life in Christ.
Toward what are you aspirational?
- Strongly pursue those goals, daily.
- Patiently, but actively await their fulfillment.
Let's each and all be aspirational toward a strong, winning performance today.
Prayer.
