Chapel - Championship Teams Develop Strong Leadership

Chapel talk - Championship Teams Develop Strong Leadership.

Prayer.

Introduction:

Championship Teams Develop Strong Leadership. I see our team leadership growing and having an impact on and off the field of competition.

  • We're growing in confidence - we can compete and win anywhere we go.
  • We're growing in poise - we do not panic when facing adversity.
  • We're growing in leadership - our leaders keep us focused on goals and values.
  • That looks just like Proverbs 30:29-31. (Read Proverbs 30:29-31 aloud.)
This is genuine swagger; these are stately in their walk:
  • The lion - he knows he's the toughest animal walking the plains of the Serengeti. He does not retreat. That's real swagger.
  • The rooster and male goat - they strut around like they own the barnyard. That's real swagger.
  • A king with his army - a leader with his team has real swagger.
  • Some football teams have real swagger and some have a cheap imitation.
The real stuff comes from confidence, good preparation, solid teamwork, and leaders who make their teammates better. It starts with the leaders and permeates the hearts of the whole team. It thrives in adversity.

Which will we be today? The posers with fake swagger or the team with strong leadership and real swagger?

Let's carry an authentic swagger like a lion, a rooster, a male goat, and like a king with his army. Let's further develop our team's leadership and let our opponents watch in wonder as they see a great team competing strongly.

Prayer.
