Chapel - (insert team name) are Leaders.

Chapel talk - (insert team name) are Leaders.

Prayer.

Introduction:
Speak briefly about how you have seen their leadership developing. Mention specifics, individuals, and situations. Little things like... Big things like... This is what leaders do.

Paul's first letter to his friends in Corinth, Greece tells us about what leaders do. (Read I Corinthians 16:13-14 aloud.)

The apostle says to:

  • Be alert!
  • Hold tightly to your convictions (truth, values, and core beliefs).
  • Give it all you've got (maximum effort).
  • Be resolute (completely committed).
  • Love without stopping (every day seeking others' best).
My challenge to you is this:
  • Be alert - have your mind fully engaged.
  • Hold tightly to your convictions - what it means to be a (insert team name) player.
  • Give your absolute best effort today.
  • Be resolute, 100% committed to your team.
  • Love without stopping, during pregame, warming up, in the locker room, in the first half, during half-time, in the second half, and while celebrating post-game.
This is what leaders do.

Prayer.
