Chapel - We are Road Dogs

Chapel talk - We are road dogs.

Prayer.

Introduction - Road dogs draw power from their environment. A rowdy, loud, capacity crowd in a stadium on the road fuels our hearts to compete.

The writer of Hebrews describes a scene that would excite any road dog team. (Read Hebrews 12:1 from The Message aloud.)

  • This text follows a Bible Hall of Fame in chapter 11. They were the pioneers and veterans of the faith.
  • They now cheer on today's faithful men and women.
  • Our response is to prepare well, to compete powerfully, with no extra baggage.
Today - the (insert team name) road dogs:
  • Are cheered on by countless pioneers and veterans of (insert team name and sport). When you hear crowd noise today, hear the (team name) Hall of Famers.
  • Our response is to prepare well and to compete powerfully, with no extra baggage.
  • It's all about us today.
  • It cannot be about any individual player.
  • Road dogs draw power from their environment.
We are (insert team name and sport).

We are road dogs.

Prayer.
