Hear the story of a relentless person from 3,000 years ago. This story comes from II Samuel 23. (Read II Samuel 23:9-10 aloud.)
There are three elements to this story that account for Eleazar's relentlessness:
- He was provoked by his enemy's taunting.
- His teammates retreated, but he stood his ground, battling left and right.
- He battled to exhaustion, but he never let go of his sword.
Let's take some inspiration from Eleazar's example:
- Turn your opponent's taunting into powerful, competitive action. (Relentless competition)
- When momentum shifts scream at you to retreat, stand your ground. (Battle left and right)
- Compete to the point of exhaustion, but never give up. (Be relentless!)
Compete relentlessly today.
