Prayer.

The writer of the Bible book to the Hebrews speaks directly about memorable men. (Read Hebrews 13:7 aloud.)

  • This writer challenges us to remember those who have led us, coaches and older teammates, shaping our experience to sport.
  • He challenges us to remember those who spoke the word of God to us, shaping our values.
  • He challenges us to consider the results of their conduct, now their legacy in (insert team name and sport).
  • He challenges us to imitate their faith, shaping our whole lives.
There are surely men in your lives who are memorable. They may be fathers, grandfathers, uncles, coaches, pastors, or teammates. You remember them because of the investments they made in your lives.

List some memorable players from the program's past.

Let's compete in a way that makes us memorable. In today's contest, in each day of practice, in each contest of each season, in all of life.

Let's be memorable men.

Prayer.
